The Gospel Truth publication has been published and distributed for ten years. The first issue was printed in July 2012. During the last decade, there have been many major events and changes in society. Multiple hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis have hit countries around the world costing billions of dollars and causing many deaths. Famine has struck various locations, and people are dying of hunger. The COVID pandemic radically altered life, and there have been over six million related deaths.

Morality has declined quickly. This is evidenced in part by the widespread acceptance and promotion of the LGBT agenda in the media, the schools, and society at large. There have been many changes and things can look bleak. Inflation is soaring, interest rates are increasing, and energy prices are skyrocketing.Read more

The Gospel Truth website contains archives of all issues of the Gospel Truth in six languages: English, Spanish, German, Swahili, Chichewa, Tamil and Malayalam.

Back issues cover doctrinal teaching on a variety of subjects. They have been used as personal and collective Bible study guides, Bible curriculum for high school students, and as a general reference on Bible doctrines.

Our prayer and desire was and still is today for the simple gospel of Jesus Christ to be spread throughout all regions of the world. Religion and men’s organizations will never satisfy the longing soul. There is a great need for people to hear and read the unadulterated, pure teaching and doctrines of God’s Word.

It is with much thanksgiving to the Lord that we celebrate ten years of publishing the Gospel Truth. It has rarely been convenient or easy, but God’s work is not about convenience; it is about answering the call of God and doing His will, no matter what the cost. I remember well over twenty-five years ago expressing the need for a doctrinally-based paper to share with ministers on the mission field. It was many years later when it was incumbent upon us from the Lord to begin this ministry.

Here is an excerpt from the editorial of the first Gospel Truth issue in July 2012:

Through many years of ministry around the world, I have recognized a great need to help establish native ministries in the truth of the Word. This is not about gaining a following or having someone ‘join’ a group. It is about teaching and encouraging people to be the Church in their locality. Unity then comes about as people walk in the truth, being led by the Spirit.…It is the desire of my wife and me to share through the written word of this paper some of the foundational, scriptural truths that can assist honest hearts in becoming established in the truth.

For ten years, the Gospel Truth has been published every quarter. God has been faithful to provide this ministry with wonderful helpers and volunteers. It is only by their efforts, both local and abroad that this ministry has been able to grow and reach more people. We are grateful for those who have supported Gospel Truth Publishing with prayer and finances.

As we step forward into the next decade of publishing, we covet your prayers for greater inspiration and anointing.. May Christ ever be in view and His kingdom be the focus of every endeavor. May the Lord open more doors and enable the truth to be shared to hungry, seeking souls.

Over the last five years, the Gospel Truth has been a tremendous blessing in the furtherance of the gospel among Tamil-speaking people throughout India and the broader Asia-Pacific region. The Gospel Truth provided a means of reaching far more souls than we could possibly have reached during a mission trip, and is a more innocuous and year-round messenger of the gospel in a region largely hostile to Christianity. Thus began the Tamil publishing work: starting first with five hundred copies and then steadily growing to one thousand, two thousand, and now thirty-five hundred copies, as letters and phone calls began to come in from others who had obtained a copy or heard of the Gospel Truth. Since that time, around seventy-five thousand Tamil copies have been sent out. I have witnessed the fruit of gospel seeds planted through these papers on the mission field and am thankful to know the Lord is able to work with these seeds year-round, whether we can be there in person or not. The digital archives have also been a helpful reference in teaching Bible doctrine on a wide range of subjects that arise while I am on the mission field. I highly encourage you to enroll in your own personal study of Bible doctrine, that you may be “ready always to give…a reason on the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15), and believe you’ll find the Gospel Truth to be a very helpful companion in that journey.
