Nicodemus, a Pharisee, is uniquely mentioned only in the Gospel of John. He is not mentioned in any of the other gospels. His story unfolds in three significant events:
His profound conversation with Jesus about spiritual rebirth (John 3:1-21).
His defense of Jesus, advocating for a fair hearing according to Jewish law before the Sanhedrin (John 7:50-51).
His act of devotion, where he and Joseph of Arimathea anointed the body of Jesus with myrrh and aloes and then entombed Him (John 19:38-42).
